@2ockedand2oaded From the American Justice system.. but you are right, most people in Jail have mental disorders, and treating them would be more beneficial then Prison.

Not really sure where you're getting your figures from. But I'm against the idea of jails being used to punishment, they should be used as correctional facilities. Violent crimes are caused by mental disorders, not 'bad people'. Punishment only provokes people to fight against an imaginary system, rather then realising that behaving against social values is detrimental to their own and other's success.

whats the scentence for armed robery in America? in Canada I think min is 2-5 years not sure. Pedo's walk free while non violent weed smokers get life..
