@FreeTheWorker Are you arguing that "one of the most bought, corrupt governments in the world" SHOULD take over health care?
-
@McCartyrocks So it has to be the United States government only? One of the most bought, corrupt governments in the world?
-
@tw19771 I agree about Obama, you're right we need health care reform badly and we need to do it without having a knee jerk reaction every time someone uses the word socialism.
I used to have that reaction, where as soon as I'd hear the word I'd get defensive and put off, that was conditioned into me in school. But since my work place became a cooperative I've questioned a lot of what I've been taught.

It's a well documented FACT that government controlled ANYTHING is a total failure. If you disagree, please provide ONE example of somthing taken over by the federal government that has been funtional. Bear in mind, you must also demostrate that it's constituionally legal. Reagan's view on national healthcare is clear. He opposed it, and he was right to do so.

@FreeTheWorker I voted for Obama during the presidential election, I'm a liberal, and I can tell you Obamacare is a mistake, its not even a liberal bill, its a Federalized version of Romneys with small tweaks but basically what it does, is force ppl to buy private insurers plans, plans that are already overpriced, and those that can't get those get lopped into medicaid. And medicaid already has issues paying private clinics, and many clinics refuse to accept it. We need real health reform.

Every single person posting here is one medical crises away from being in debt for the rest of their lives, the insurance companies don't care about you they only exist to make a profit, they won't cover all of your expenses and they'll look for any excuse to liquidate you when you're a liability, and if you trust competition and the market to stop that then you are a fool who underestimates the effectiveness of advertising and the greed and charisma of these cut throat business elites.
-
The truth is the business elites are waging an all out war on the working class, and they've used politics to trick people who don't like Obama into doing it for them. They divide us using our prejudices, our political leanings on social issues, and our willingness to listen to certain platforms, and they pit us against ourselves, they make us fight eachother.
3% still hold more wealth than all the rest of us combine, most of that wealth was stolen from the working class through exploitation.

@Oktoberfesting Anyone can cherry pick quotes and use them deceptively to misrepresent a person's actual positions. It's easy, you just edit out the bits of the quotes you don't like, and carefully pick the parts of the quotes that support your agenda, which is exactly what you have done here sir.

Regan is the one who turned America over to a multinational oligarchy.
It's a well documented fact that Regan was suffering from altzheimers at this time. And next, you're going to elect Sarah Palin. You Americans are an enigma.
