In this episode we show off our Eye Mario system that allows you to play any NES video game just using your eye movements. In this video we give you a basic overview of how this system works.

Here is a video of us showing off this system at CES 2011 bit.ly/WLLCES2011
We were featured on CNET http://bit.ly/WLL_CNET_CES201

If you would like to see all the details of how we built the system check out our overview document http://bit.ly/9gf43b

UPDATE 8/8 - Source Code Posted http://bit.ly/EyeMario-Code

UPDATE 8/4: A lot of people have been commenting that we should flip the left right so you can keep your eyes on the screen and turn your head. That a great idea, so great in fact that we had already done it. (you can see the button at 1:12 in the video on the left side of the screen, also at 1:52 Hunter is seen using his head to control mario).

  • So... if you wanna go one direction, you need to stop looking at the screen? How handy!

  • @fackinglollig We had both "eye look" mode and "head turn" mode. In head turn mode you could keep your eyes locked on the screen and turn your hear. (head turn left = relative eye look right)

  • I just got one question, How the hell did you just make mario run to jump loong distances???

Awesome device but i think the person that uses it, needs a lot of practice, it looks easy but it shouldnt be.

  • 1:31 XD

"DADA dada dada dada // DADA dada dada dada // "

  • I'd would LMAO if they tried to play Sliversurfer with that tech.

  • @zombadude No they shouldn't. I can only imagine the eye stress problems it would create.

  • i broke all my bones xd

  • what are the start/select/a/b buttons? You'd need those in a couple games
