On December 25, 1776, George Washington lead a surprise attack on the British and Hessians in Trenton, New Jersey, turning the Revolutionary War back to the favor of the colonial Americans.

I am the official videographer for Washington Crossing Historic Park, and I got to cross over for free. This is a montage of some of the footage I took during the day, and the official crossing will take place on Christmas- this footage is from the rehearsal.

Please note: This is made with footage I compiled while making a documentary for them. In the documentary, catching glimpses of spectators, other photographers, etc, wasn't a problem. I did my best with the footage I had, but you can spot a couple anachronisms in this (i.e. the Washington Bridge, Staff shirts...).

Filmed and Edited by Tom Lynskey

  • At the end I thought it would say "coming soon... to a theatre near you" lol

  • one kid in a war why a kid ones to be in a war

  • @ehhdatzbunk,

Most environmentalists have their hearts in the right places, but these organizations have been infiltrated by people with other agendas.

A few are anti-progress extremists, for others it’s a good paying steady job, but the worst are those with plans to become RICH and POWERFUL, carpetbaggers like Al Gore appear throughout history.

  • @uzijohn Bunk!

  • The army looks pretty clean to have been continuously hit in the mouth by the British and Hessians for the last six months. The crossing was a big ordeal, but the march to Trenton in the night would have been the more trying part of the ordeal if you ask me.

  • @Kaesoism,

Thank you, glad to see I'm not alone

  • @uzijohn : Omg, I can't believe someone else knows this. I love you.

  • like if you saw the canadian next to the cannon

  • This reenactment records a historically overlooked fact, this river has no ice and old timers who pre-date the industrial revolution have never seen it ice-up!!!

Yet in Washington’s day it was choked with ice, that’s because the earth has been slowly warming, even before man was a factor, temperatures change is a normal cycle; it increased and decreased as the "Little Ice Age" arrived and retracted.

BUT that won’t enrich the “Carbon Credit Scammers” Gore & Soro$ will it?

  • @Dirtboy101 for real man me too
