Thank u for watching my vids, I want to make sure you all know how I do appreciate it.
Well, I am teaching myself how to paint, but I started so that I can paint angels, b/c I believe we all have atleast one, to my surprise I too enjoy painting ballerinas, I think they are so graceful.
I guess you can say I am an, "Impressionist" I love to paint the background very thick. Once again, I want to thank you.

  • such a beautifull painting,

    lynda.

  • @madlynda Thank You. :)

  • cool.. I have another question.. what did you prime your canvas with? Is colored better than a white primer??

    Thanks again!

  • I buy my canvases primed 3 x But, u can prime it yourself with plain white acrylic paint. When I prime them myself I put on 3 layers, I wait for each to dry b4 aplying the next one. Then I apply a thin layer of burn sienna thinned out w/turpentine. To give me the mid value that way my colors don't look so dark when applied over a white canvas, a mid value gives the colors their true value. There are no tricks to your eyes.

  • Hey Carmen! Thanks for the viedo.. One question- what was the round broom stick for??

  • I kept wondering what you meant by broom stick, then I realized you were talking about the dahl stick I made myself by purchasing a dahl stick at hobby lobby, I wanted a big one b/c I'm from TX & everything is always big in TX, j/k, I just wanted something stable. I'ts quite stirdy. I can rest my hand on it to paint small details or anything that requires a steady hand.
