i don't agree very much on the fact of using poor quality cherry pie filling, it's like spoiling it, why not making it fresh?????

My mother used to make this recipe when we were kids...a family favorite. Thank you for posting this.
There is one glitch in your version of the recipe - you need 4 Tablespoons of lemon juice to make the pie "set" properly. One teaspoon is not enough...leaves the pie more like pudding.

@luv2bakecakes I agree. It needs to be refrigerated and chilled for longer than 20 minutes. Great recipe, BTW.

I tried this last night and it came out delicious!!.. The only thing I will comment its better if you refrigerate all night.. Not jst an hour like it says...It was too gooo-e. But this morning it was perfect!. I topped mine of with guyaba..Yummmmm Thank you for your tutorial...
