  • Is that teaching? I find it numbing. He arrived with much hoopla near the end of the Cold War...and in the end, was it more marketing and People Magazine stories than substance? Judging from this, other clips, and recordings, I'm thinking the answer is 'yes'.

  • How logical you are! Bravo! Do you have the same impact on people like he does? Do you create "images" with your music? I don't think so. I suspect you are dead inside if Feltsman's "sincere" playing doesn't touch you. His marketing comes to minimum comparing to whatever other pianists do, so what are you talking about?

  • None of us have reached his level and went through 8 ears of hardship in the Soviet Union. We cannot predict how we would behave while being great artists. It's easier to judge, but hard to do something ourselves, like to be humble. But the purpose of this video is artistic, so why are we discussing Mr. Feltsman's personality?

Jesus, how many idiots like yourself are there still in the world!!!!

  • My piano study has run the gamut and this is by far the greatest artist I ever had the pleasure of studying with. I won't mention the other artists because they all had an impact and I don't want to insult anyone. Mr. Feltsman's artistry is incredibly profound and motivational--especially in the masterclass setting. It's like studying with Rachmaninoff himself. I am not exaggerating!!

  • Bach composed great Christian music. The Christian faith, does it deal with ratio when it comes to giving, like the lady who gave when she had a penny, but that was all she had? Well, music deals with ratio, may not be related, but it's nice, esp. when praising God/Christ.

  • Bach's English Suite No.5

  • or actually, piece(s)?

  • what piece is this? i really like it.

  • He's arrogant, but so is everyone at his level. It goes with the territory.
