The air is generated when the subway trains pass. The artist installs the sculptures over the subway air vents, or grilles on the sidewalk.

Love the way the children react to this particular sculpture, they are drawn to it, perhaps because of its size, and their instinct is to pet it. :-) Really lovely work by Joshua Harris!
