The major problem of the green tea from European tea seller is in the packaging. They need to move on.

  • Once you open the package, what is the proper way for storing sencha and gyokuro? Also, after opening, how many months do you have for consuming?

  • MAP can preserve Japanese green tea quality almost one year, but once you open the package, you should finish within 3 weeks, maximum one month. Japanese green tea is much more like vegitable rather than preserved food. You may store it in cool dark place, sometime fridge when the room temperature is too high and humid.

  • So how can one be sure if the tea they are buying is really what it says on the package? Especially when trying out a new kind?

  • Just make sure that the package is the same as potato chips. No air access from outside.

  • I love your videos - I hope you post more!!

I wonder, are ALL Japanese green teas - genmaicha, kukicha, sencha, gyokuro - all of them are green in color when brewed? None are golden color? thank you for your great videos...

  • Hojicha colours like black tea, and Kukicha is pale gold.
