@bparent77 .. i was going to do the Ls build.. but have decided to go a diff route.. I'm in the process of finishing my gar block.. manley rods. oem bearing.. j/e pistons .020 over. golden eagle block guard.. gt35r.. arm sideband.. tuned on hondata s300.. type r oil pump.. type r water pump. its almost similar to gar but give more pressure when needed.. 1000cc injector dynamics. fuel rain endyne catch can.. morose oil pan. stage4six puck act clutch.. brian crower full valve train except camshaft

I'm doing a similar build on LS Vtec. Stock
Block. Type r head. And Gsr transmission. New exedy stage 4 6 puck clutch. Top mount greedy turbo.87 I think. Stock type r manifold. Looking for some good numbers this season at the track.
But don't know if I should do a b20v with type r head or LsV.
I know that the valve train on type r head would be good on b20blocks.
? Any suggestions?

are you putting internals in the bottom end? i would stay LS if you are stayin stock sleeves, internals for LS and B20 are same other than bore size.

I took both housings off and had them powder coated locally. The hot side has black jet coating and the cold side is just gloss black
