I just love Linda! How come she's not as renowned as Patti LuPone? It makes no sense! This is a great number between Linda Balgord and Ron Bohmer from the short lived full scale US tour back in 1996-97. So sweet and romantic... Yet heartbreakingly sad! LINDA RULES!!!! ...Ron Bohmer isn't bad either. Certainly eons better than Kevin Anderson or John Barrowman!

Take note how the dynamic between these characters was changed in this particular version. Now, Norma is the victim and Joe is the villain.

LOL... She's no Linda Balgord, but I loved Kathryn Evans as well. Definitely in my top ten Normas!

PS - I'm glad you enjoyed Linda Balgord's performance. She's an amazing actress and singer and it's sad that she was basically swept under the carpet and "excommunicated" by bitchy theatre queens for being a "no name" (whatever the hell that means) actress playing Norma Desmond. Oh, well, people are idiots.

it was finding a Name to play Norma was one of the reasons that killed Sunset, if only they would have allowed more amazing actresses like miss Balgord to play the role then i think it would still be running. truly Miss Balgord is one of the greats, and needs more credit, thank u for posting this video xx

I and a friend saw Glenn Close when she was Norma and after the show, we met her. I told her how phenomenal her finale was and she thanked me in this......tone. My friend thought she was being rude but I told him she was still in character. she signed my program and thanked me again. Thanks for posting these videos.....it's great to see highlights of the show again. In all the excitement of the first experience, I saw things I missed.
