I see. That couldn't have been the most convincing performance Boals have made and it's unacceptable to forget the lyrics too many times.
But still he is new and you should give him a chance. He probably just needs time to adapt to the new style and he also has a lot of texts and songs to learn i Royal Hunt. I'm sure in a year or two he will be great as the singer

I quite agree with you. I believe that Boals is an efficient vocalist. And yes, his work on the latest album is fantastic. Yet, when I pay 30 euros, I demand from the singer to know the lyrics. This is lack of professionalism that cannot be covered with a demonstration of high notes.

Don't you think that you're being a little hard on him?! He actually sings really well on the newest album and he did a great job when he sang with Yngwie Malmsteen. Maybe his high notes don't fit in the Royal Hunt sound, but apart from that, I think does a really good job. It's hard to replace a singer like John West.

Boals is a notable figure in Rock, some short of Metal folklore. However, he just spoils the whole band. Please Mr Andersen, get a proper vocalist!!!

i cant understand why they choosed mark boals, what i heard he cant sing RH songs, then again not easy to sing JW stuff. but mark really sux

One of my all time favourite bands. I saw them in May 2008 in Greece, and the whole concert was spoiled by Mark Boals. He didn't even know the lyrics, and he was trying all the time to sing in really high notes, ruining the songs. I hope they get a decent singer, like Jeff Scott Soto or John West again!
