@MrSurplusnut and the olny reason the savage axis feels flimsy is because of its free floating barrel and that means that the barrel is not resting inside of the stock the reason they make them is because the barrel vibrates when you shoot and free floating barrels allow the barrel to settel and thats what makes savage one of the top rifle makers for stock rifles
-
true but i chose it because of accuracy and it can shoot about a 2" group at 300yds and i have also shot the marlin xl7 and it is nice to and nice choice on the 308 there accurate but i currently hunt with a 270 because of its ability to shoot out to 500yds accuratlywith out the bullet drop and i can hold the cross hairs on the deers back and know the bullets going to hit the deer even at 500yds
-
@chriswallen1 I'm sure the Savage Axis is an accurate rifle and I have looked at one it just was not to my personal taste. Remeber everyone has there personal preferences on rifles just like men have different tastes as to what a hot woman is
-
@Spudgurius83 the savage axis is way more accurate because of its free floting barrel
-
c is for camel
-
I have one in black i did not like the camo.
-
@l1ttleguy1 ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?
-
scratches on camo are barely noticeable, it camo, dont paint your damn stock
-
under 1'' all day? lol

S, in XS7 stands for short action (.243, .308, 7mm-08) L, in XL7 is for long action (25-06, .270, 30-06). I have one in 7mm-08, and one in .270, and they are indeed great rifles for the money.

"I'm going to polish the handle"
Yo, put some spinners on it!

Very nice gun. I'm definately getting one sometimes next week. Thanks for the review!

@MrLongbranch303 I don't know, fins like to buy finnish rifles more than anything else and T3 rifles are usually out of stock in gun stores... even used Finnish rifles has very high price tag. 6.5x55 is great cartridge, I'm planning to get one chambered for it.
-
@MrLongbranch303 Here in Finland Tikka T3 Lite costs $1200 and Varmint model $1500 so definitely NOT best bang for the buck here. It's a superb rifle thought.

nice rifle like the camo. but wouldn't polish bolt handle make the camo pointless and give u away by putting a reflectice surface on the gun
Did you mean fluted bolt?

If I were to go with an entry level rifle out of all the various models I've looked at this would be my pick . Because it's decent quality for the money and way better than the Savage Axis. Don't get me wrong Savage makes god guns but the Axis felt cheaply made to me compared to the Marlin

@Spudgurius83 this is a good entry rifle you are right.

only thing i dont like about the x7 rifles is the bolt can flop open when on safety and dump a live round especialy while using a sling. If bolt would lock on safety id be sold on it
