A fascinating, and very nostalgic, programme from 1984 used as part of an engineering course for the Open University. It shows car prototypes being used in Japan, and what sort of things were likely to be seen on cars of the future. Watch out for early test prototypes of GPS/Sat Nav, in-car entertainment systems, graphical dashboards, etc. Made even better by the excellent music of the Alan Parsons Project. Made in 1984 by the BBC for the Open University, this programme was still being used in 1988, which is when I recorded it. Of course, the rights to this programme remain with the OU and BBC. I'm not sure what they could do with it all these years on, but they do have the right to remove this video if they want to.
