Esmeralda was a gypsy from Eastern Europe...she is probably Albanian or even Armenian...she is NOT black..she is white...she is just tan.

@94captianawesome She isn't really whitewhite... but not really black either. She is most likely a Roma-gypsy and they orginate form India. Also: she isn't being discriminated because of her skincolour. There are other ways to discriminat people and one of those ways is because of the fact she is a gypsy. This was very common at the time in Europe, because they believed gypsies to be stealing, immoral (non-christian) and evil people.

@Liebelamour Well, actually, Esmeralda isn't a gypsy at all :) But you're right, they made her look like she's egyptian or something... She has a way darker skin tone than the rest of the Gypsies too :) Anyway, wherever she's from, she's the hottest disney girl :)
