Irish jig played on an antique (1850s) six keyed flute in cocuswood made by Henry Potter (renamed "Harry").
The flute is for sale.

  • Good job! I see you have adapted to the new grip. How is it working out compared to your old pipers grip?

  • @abraxas123 Hi, a more standard use of keys is the main reason for the change. There are so many great second hand or antique flutes around that I though it was worth it. Also, it allows a faster finger movement especially on the left hand, and the ornamentations get crispier. Piper's grip probably gives more freedom somehow, although I can't explain the reason. The new grip is still superior in my opinion.
