I remember when this aired on PBS .. I was ironing and copying the background vocal women at the same time. My husband thought I was crazy when he caught me doing this .. but you know this is TIMELESS music .. effortlessly sung by Luther and his background singers. He was truly a man who knew his CRAFT. This is so rare today. If you want to learn to sing .. listen to his music, he was truly an ARTIST. RIP Mr. Vandross.

One of the best vocalists period. Joe Williams, Aretha, KD Lang, Nat King Cole, Nancy Wilson, Chris Cornell. I don't care what genre or era, his singing looked truly effortless & it was seemlessly smooth with power in an instant when he needed it plus he could project beautifully softly (for those who've sung HARD to learn!).
