Once in a while you hear some morons say, "Yeah but it's a Hyundai". They forget that made in Japan used to be considered junk back in the days. Korean electronic company such as Samsung now surpassed Sony as global consumer electronic leader. World's tallest building in Dubai along wth other top 2 tallest building in the world was constructed by Korean engineering company. Korean products are no longer low quality junk. They are giving the Japanese a run for their money.

Hyundai's have good performances, but lets be realistic.....Comparing a CLS with this just for the paint? There is more to a car to a paint. Still Hyundai has my respect a few years they will rival luxury brands.

N.Americans are so stupid. Give them something at a cheap enough price and they go gaga over it.

They don't even notice that the Korean Won has depreciated faster than the USD because they've been dazzled by cheap Korean exports.

They have no problems complaining that the Yen is manipulated eventhough its doubled in value against the USD in just over a year.

LG washer/dryer is $600 cheaper than Whirlpool's. Now they have to close down a factory.  But atleast tvs and cars are still cheap.

There's a reason why anything Korean always has to be discounted heavily against Japanese products.

Few people know that Samsung/LG is based on hiring retired Japanese engineers at 800,000/year. China does it too. KIA needs to hire a German designer.

Why do Asians/Koreans refuse to drive Korean cars but they love Japanese ones? Hyundai/KIA/Samsung/LG are made for cheap Westerners and nothing more.

A Korean car should be as good as the Japanese car it was copied from.

Just lots of marketing $

@stevomwa1 but then mercedes tore down their reputation in the years 2000-2006 due to "strategically pairing up" with daimler chrysler and help building vehicles with them. they barely won any awards if not any. and from 2006 onwards they had 2 jd power awards when they used to get some prior to 2000. they do make nice cars. its just that after the companies were conjoined.... mercedes' rep fell and bmw and audi were advancing upwards.

i dont think for a second that Hyundai are close to MB, though are making really nice cars. But the average Joe is inclined to everything they see on TV and believe it.
