Gigi Theme - Lerner & Loewe - 1958

This instrumental version of the title song of the Best Picture winning musical 'GIGI' captures the essence of the film, which is one of my personal favorites. Gigi is top notch entertainment, based off of the play by the brilliant and risque Colette and starring some of the finest French actors in the business at the time of its production. These included the loveable Leslie Caron, the charming Louis Jourdan and the always entertaining personalities of Hermoine Gingold and Maurice Chevalier.
With songs written by hit musical team Lerner & Loewe, and production values that are hard to beat, Gigi is the last of the great MGM musicals. Sure, there were brilliant musicals in the 1960s as well, but none of them were of this old style that reigned in the golden era of musicals. Gigi certainly ended one of the most enjoyable eras of film with a bang, and it continues on with its timeless charm and qualities that cannot help but make you smile.

Yeah it was used in clueless. i was laughing when they played the music becuase if you look at where the song is played and consider the context and lyrics of the song itself, you'll see the iorny in how it was used in clueless.
