@ianharkin I too have met Ritchie on several occasions...you couldn't meet a nicer guy. Now, that said, I'm sure he doesn't mind what the media have made him out to be. Keeps most people at arms length I would imagine.

Ritchie does give interviews on occasion -- just do a search on youtube to find several. He always has been media shy, and this behavior certainly was encouraged by his perception that early on, the media has taken cheap shots at Deep Purple. I love Blackmore interviews, but the bottom line is that he's here to play guitar.
