  • of course we have mcdonalds in ireland...they have 2 on the moon for gods sake

    good job as always

  • Yes, but in the McDonalds outside of Ireland, they serve more than just fries.

(Get it? It's a potato joke!)

  • It's true though, although our climate was much more appropreate for snakes, we never had any.

They used the term to chase the snakes out of Ireland as a symbolic jesture. Snakes were always viewed as a symbol of evil, (e.g adam and eve), so it was saying patrick drove out all the evil when he converted all the people.

  • Oh, sure.

You don't have to defend Catholicism; we're all friends. :)

It's just a fun joke, and I'm sure Jesus has a sense of humor too, so no worries.

  • Happys saints patrick's Sam!

  • Happy Saint Patty's, dude. :)
