oh god that poor thing look at its grille, although youve got a great paintjob going with it, the original too. i just got one from my grandparents open garage thats been in the family since it was new (great grandparents owned it) and it had been sitting exposed to the hawaii sun/humidity for about 20 years, frikkin amzing it wasnt covered in rust. after a good sanding and repaint its good to go and i bent the blades back. wish it was in as good condition to boot as yours though.

Again, nice Vorty.
I've got an older version of that fan, it's black with polished aluminum blades and a "cross type" guard (much like the one on your 3 blade Vorty).
I'll post a video of it when I get it put back together.
do you have any poler cubs because they work good?

I just bought a 16" last week of this exact same model. Does anyone know when these fans where made? With the GE logo, I'd say they were made between 1939 and 1945, but I ain't sure.

I looked at the AFCA gallery and it said circa1950.

Is that a 16" or a 12" It looks like the 12" version of what I have. I have a 16" vortalex in my kitchen in the same condition and it is my favorite fan so far.
