Braces/Jaw Surgery Vlog 3 - Weeks 0-11

I started orthodontic treatment about 11 weeks ago and will be having jaw surgery in about 15 months time. I will video blog from time to time to let you see how it's progressing!

I am being treated at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, which, conveniently, is where I live.

They definitely moved a little the first week, yes! I'm really pleased I've taken weekly pictures as it's easier to compare week on week. Comparing week 12 to day 1 is really satisfying = so much change :))))

Im Only 2 weeks and 3 days i have alot to go. When They Do The Second tightning how long does it hurt for?

My 1st tightening was 7 weeks in and hurt for about 4 days, my 2nd tightening used much thicker, square wires and hurt for at least a week, but ortho did say that he might have been a little early for such a thick wire. Pain = movement!!!

haha lol keep that one quiet, the less people think you have the better lol, the 2 amalgums you have look un noticable really as they are on the side of the tooth, I think amalgums are still used in the uk quite a bit but they are using more resin now! your teeth are looking good!

I also have a white filling on the bottom but sssshhhhh don't tell anyone ;)

Cool, I think they look great on top so far! I think it would be great to see how your bottoms are getting on to. Only 2 fillings wow you must take good care of them!

I'll try and post something later showing the bottom teeth, I didn't bother before as there's not been much change yet!

The white stuff is glue holding the ortho bands in place, the ortho had a job fitting them so there's probably more glue than usual :) I have an amalgum filling on each side on the top teeth, yes. :)

could you show pictures of your bottom one so we could see what they look like to? I see you have some white stuff on your banded molars, it looks like it is covering up some fillings?
