My attempt at Martin Tallstrom's arrangement (thanks for sharing the tab!) of the Twin Peaks Theme, only without the dreamy synthesizer chords ;-) (see http://www.youtube.com/user/pinofluvius )

I wasn't sure whether I should post this, since I think the original is so much better. But then again, the same goes for my other posts. The difference probably being that the original in this case is another Youtube clip...

  • Where did you get the neck?

    Sounds Good!

  • @TheProPedalShop

Thanks! It's an Allparts neck, screwed onto an "El Cheapo" telecaster body. One of my first guitarbuilding experiments. Turned out pretty good, I think ;-)

  • Wow, awesome stuff. Perfectly paced and played. Inspirational really, I really need to learn the whole song like you (not that I know any of it).

I think the tabs I got are off, do you where I can find any, like what you play specifically? Yours sounds amazing.

  • @EwoksDen I got the tab from Martin Tallstrom's site, so if you got the same one, I don't really know where it's off... I might not play exactly the same as the "official" tab, but that would be more by accident ;-)

  • Ah yeah, I got the exact same tabs. It's the 12 7 7 part I disbelieve. I don't see how it's possible to have your fingers stretch from the 12th fret to the 7th. You seem to go to from the 12th to 9th. Which makes more physical sense heh. I need to re-tune my guitar like that too. I love the bassyness you get off the top strings.

  • You're half right; I go from 14 to 9, since there is a capo on 2. So, in fact, 12-7-7 is right, and that's also the only way to get the harmonics.

On the 9th, there is also no way to get a harmonic, no matter how you re-tune...

Good luck with the stretching exercises! ;-)
