  • @ohsnap31 ha ha very true ha ha

  • If you have one kid who's not taking out his math book, don't focus entirely on him. Talk to him afterwards.

As long as the kid is not disturbing the class, why aggrevate things?

  • You have 10 kids. One is off task. You just took all 10 kids off task in an attempt to bring your one lost sheep back. Talk to him after class.

  • Good video my ass. What classroom management? I can see this kind of thing in a classroom.

  • Good video. Moving child back by 2 desks does nothing other than offer an aversive & making an example (attention) & does not help the classroom or Shane.

Concern for performance needs to be at a different level than upon 1 out of group. In private, for instance, is a time you can ask Shane if he has trouble seeing the board or if he wants to tell you what is bothering him (though it might be good to have a 2nd teacher for a meeting with Shane outside the class).

What should be done is the ?

  • anger provokes anger

  • don't ever touch the kid. Let him blow off steam and get with him one-on-one to find the underlining problem.

  • planned ignoring would've been best.
