Hey guys! This is my 40th Falconer Lyric Video. The Sceptre of Deception part 2. I know you are probably asking, "where have you been? why havent you put out a video more recently?" well theres no simple answer, just know that things have been crazy and that this is the first chance i've gotten to do this.

Oh interesting note on this song, Mathias does sing in it as an additional voice, so thats always awesome :D

NEWS: I have heard some rumours about the new Falconer album, its supposed to be a little different, but not EXTREMELY different, should be good :D

Here is the Introduction to the song. Read if you wish:

Shortly after, Erik was engaged with the but 1 year old Ingeborg, daughter to King Haakon. He did not only get a future bride, but also a mighty protector in Norway. In the negotiations that preceded the engagement he managed to get Haakon to let him administrate over the western parts of his kingdom, adjacent to his dukedoms in Sweden. He now had created a little land of his own in the junction between Sweden, Norway and Denmark. This looked threatening to both Birger and his father-in-law, Menved.

Torgil had just handed over the official power to Birger when the church banned him for depriving them of their privilegies. Erik and Valdemar did nothing but joined poitely the church's lines. They saw it as a chance to close in at the throne.

Torgil did not sit quietly to watch all what he had built up for himself be threatened. He called the two brothers to him at his estates not far from Erik's domains. With a firm voice he demanded promises from them that they would not leave the country without the kings permission or turn against any of the king's advisers.

The king also called for their presence to forbid them to have any collaborations with the churchly opposition. This was just too much to them both: they were after all sons to the late king Magnus and princes were not to be treated in these ways.

Together with their followers and some supportive magnates they escaped through the mountains into Norway's welcoming arms. Here they could feel safe and know that no man of the king would dare to follow them over the border.

I also always encourage people to buy Cd's and all so that helps :P plus i believe Falconer knows about my videos, as stephen himself made a post on the Falconer Forum, with a video that someone had attached to one of my videos so he must have seen it :P

if that's true we can assume that he approves of your vids or action would have been taken. He probably thanks you when he sees fans like me, lol. It was your vids, as well as a friend recommending me to listen to Lord of the blacksmiths that showed me Falconer. I am eternally greatful.
