GingerRunner.com reviews the Newton Gravitas running shoe. It's a fantastic model from Newton, a relatively new boutique brand to the running world. With forefoot lug technology, these shoes strive to be the best for forefoot/midfoot runners hoping to better their stride, increase their speed and comfort.

I love them. Though they're outrageously expensive, the Gravitas are my current running shoe of choice. For more info on the shoe and where you can get yourself a pair, visit: http://NewtonRunning.com or follow them on twitter @SirIsaac. I did not receive my pair for free.

  • probably the best shoe review i've ever seen!

I'm training in NB 904/905 and asics ds trainer. As a midfoot runner, i'm now thinking about buying a newton. How do they compare in width and speed to my shoes? Do they have a pronation thing (sorry don't know the english word :D) inside, like the ds or the 905?

thanks - btw i really like your approach. please keep on making videos.

  • @Icebre4ker first, thanks for the compliments! My approach is raw and real, and that's how I like it. I'm glad you do too!

As for how they compare to your shoes, haven't tried those NBs or Asics. Newton does offer a stability version of each of their shoes for those that need it. Since I run forefoot and USED to run heel-strike, my opinion is that our feet shouldn't need any additional pads, foam bumps, or stabilizers to force em into a "perfect" strike. Newtons simply provide positive feedback

  • lmfao, love your use of the F-bombs <3

  • @EndlessStarfall Thanks! Aren't the fucking great?!

  • Disgrace to the word Gravitas

  • nice review indeed, keep it up!

  • I heard because of the lugs added in the height difference, they're entirely neutral and don't have any difference in forefoot to heel..

  • good review! like your style!!

  • Subbed.

  • i dont how th f did i suscribe but i like it

  • Bro, thats just fuckin epic review!!!! I'm also doing some videos about running but in polish so u will probably will not understand much. You can see it here runblog. pl/startowki-mariusza-gizynskiego/.

What do you think about vintage runners? I also collect reissues (I dont know if thats proper word) from 80s nad 90s such as Nike Pegasus or Adidas ZX. IMO running comes together with style and fashion.
