well of course as level 1, he would have some trouble since he promoted late. but i usually let him take down the berserkers and heroes on the chapter after he promotes with some help from lilina's support

@lordrath2000 I can't really say much else since I've never played this game the fair way and can therefore only examine its data, but it would seem to me a level 1 Roy'd have some trouble with those promoted enemies unless he had a good sword-which SoS indeed is.

Even without the Sword of Seals, Roy usually takes down plenty of promoted enemies for me once hes promoted since his growths are so great, Karel is one of the few characters that usually beat Roy with growths in my files, but that's because old Karel has godly growths

Ah, this is true. He feels mediocre because he's stuck as a level 20 for most of the game, while everyone around him promotes.

And, yeah, definitely. The Sword of Seals unlocks Roy's potential.
