  • I was a career soldier.... 25 years. My Son Aaron Smith was on his second tour in Afganistan when he was killed.

When he was born I had no direction in life, no real idea on how to be a father to this young child in front of me, so I did what I hoped would make him proud of me, I joined the army. He changed my life.

Aaron was on his 1st tour to Afganistan when I was on my last tour to Iraq.

I am proud of my son and I loved him very deeply. Right now his death is more than I can bear.

  • Rest in peace brothers. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten.
