Robin Hanson is Assistant Professor of Economic at George Mason University. His areas of interest are health policy, regulation and political theory. He earned his PhD in social sciences at Caltech and a member of George Mason since 1999.
Robin's main supporting evidence seems to be the RAND Health Insurance Experiment (wikipedia has a good overview).
I agree that Robin's low opinion of medicine may be negated by the emergence of EBM as the dominant medical paradigm of the day, but he certainly provides food for thought. Brilliant man.
So modern healthcare does not improve health... What is the supporting evidence? Can anyone point me the data Robin used? Should we just dismiss statistics provided of Evidence-based medicine (EBM)?
me personally...I think he is more of a genius.

The interview was actually much longer and wide-ranging. I guess this is all that made it past the editor. Robin Hanosn
