Here is how it works:

Blizzard is able to generate a new CD Key based on a valid CD Key. They mainly use this to help the resellers overcome the "invalid keys problem". When a customer gets back at a store owner because the authentication key (on the CD he bought) doesn't work, the store owner sends an e-mail to Blizzard asking for a new key. Blizzard then generates a new key, based on a working key the store owner sent them (copying the properties of the given key, like region & type), and sends it back to the store owner. After he received his new code, the customer has 24 hours to use it on his account.

If you enter an invalid - or already used - CD Key, you will not receive an e-mail containing a new valid key. Furthermore, if too many invalid requests are sent through this website, we risk getting blacklisted by the World of Warcraft Customer Support. If such a thing were to happen, we will of course stop providing this free service and keep it to ourselves. Use it wisely!
