This amazing piece goes way back in the 70s when guitarist John Abercrombie, bassist Dave Holland and drummer Jack DeJohnette formed one of the most impressive jazz supergroups. Enjoy!

Descubrí éste disco en Málaga, al sur dde España, en Noviembre del 1987. Era una tienda de segunda mano. En cuanto lo ví lo compré. Buscaba un grupo de pocos músicos, guitarra incluida. Y acerté de pleno. Incluso el vendedor me lo recomendó.

This is one of my favorite pieces by them. The interaction between Holland and Abercrombie in the latter part of the song on a higher level. They have great chops but that isn't the real reason they are great collective improvisors. Dejohnette is just absolutely orchestral even as he rocks your socks off. And by the way, without even intending to this group wrote the book on jamming as a jazz rock trio. All the young wannabes should have a listen.

one of my favorite bands , iv heard the gateway 2 and in the moment and i think that abercrombie is great , there isnt an abercrombie album that i dislike , same to jack and dave , just amzing and always putting the art in the first place . Tanx for this .
