cradle of filth may be commercial black metal, but they've managed a rare & difficult trick - to make it, whilst staying true to themselves & free to artistically express themselves and are unique and intriguing. In a world of so much censorship & political & religious correctness, it's not easy for many non-pc musicians & bands to achieve this rare trick, and opens the gates for underground, non-commercial bands to be recognised.
