@AtomicSphere Spec C has 6 pot front calipers, 2.0L twin scroll turbo, slightly different stabalizer bar size.
North America's STI is 4 pot front calipers, 2.5L non twin scroll turbo, engine is known to be tuned running leaner than it should be.
Pillow ball joints are one of the improvements made to North America's 2011 STI however Japan 2007 Spec C's already utilized it, its just that it wasnt implemented into North America STI (and possibly japan) till now.There is soo much more

@Driftuner You are right about it being a prototype and not recognized because of that. The version Makkinen was helping research and development is the current production Japanese Subaru STI spec C version. North America woudnt have this verion and they both differ quite a alot. However during the prototype phase, there are modifications that woudnt exsist on production vehicle. Some of it are the undertray and gurney on the wing that adds more downforce on top of the spec C.
