Debian Lenny + Gnome + Compiz Fusion + Mac4Lin

I just got my second harddisk and set up a Debian Lenny. After that was done I thought "hm, some desktop effects would be nice" and installed a Nvidia Driver and Compiz Fusion. And then I found the awesome Mac4Lin-Project and installed that one too.

MS Wind**s is running on a Sun Virtual Box.

Warum hast du nur Mac4Lin??? Besorg dir mal iPC und mach dir das auf die Virtualbox! Ich hab jetzt Ubuntu 9.04 und dann über VMware Windows XP Professional-Gamer Edition und Mac OS X 10.5.6!

Warum ich "nur" ein Mac4Lin habe?

Nunja, der Witz an Mac4Lin besteht ja darin, nur das Mac Look&Feel zu haben, nicht ein ganzes Mac-System. Weiterer Vorteil ist, das man es offiziell runterladen und installieren kann und es sich nicht wie iPC oder WinXP Gamer Edition irgendwie "besorgen" muss.

Ich habe auch mittlerweile Debian wieder über den Haufen geworden und arbeite jetzt unter Linux Mint.

I like this very much, 2 questions:

How did you set up windows to be on a virtual machine show up in 1 desk? I also have windows xp on a virtual machine but its in window, how did you manage to get yours to occupy 1 "desk" or face of the cube?

Also what plugin is that on compiz that lets you go through the desk at 00:59 ? Thanks.

I think it was [CTRL]+[F] that sets VirtualBox to fullscreen (to one face of the cube).

The plugin at 00:59 is called "Ring Switcher".

wie kann ich aus meiner Ubuntu 9.04 mit Mac4Lin die ich auf der platte habe eine LiveDVD machen ? weist du das?

Nein, das stimmt nicht ganz. Du kannst dir doch ganz einfach mit NLite aus deiner LEGAL erworbenen Windows-CD eine Gamer-Version erstellen.Da ich eigentlich mit Windows eh nichts mehr am Hut habe, ist mir das auch irgendwie egal(Wine,Cedega&CrossOver reichen mir aus).Das gleiche gilt auch für Mac. Die Version kannst du auch völlig legal erstellen.

Linux Mint hatte ich auch mal drauf. Ist aber im Endeffekt auch nichts anderes als Ubuntu. Na, ja es basiert ja auch darauf...
