It has a more European look to it rather than the Bullet shaped or Duck-bill shaped nose formaly giving Shinkansens their iconic design in the past.

@ikinaridango0156@ No, all of Europe has the same topography, Spain is the country with more high speed lines in Europe and is a mountainous country, so the cars have to be pressurized to prevent annoying pressure changes in the tunnels. That if high-speed trains in Spain have panoramic windows unlike the Japanese.

And the USA has Amtrak. How pathetic is that....?

@ikinaridango0156 you dont need to travel on Planes there you a train :P
-
Looks like a passenger jet on rails. I suppose the cabins are pressurized too?

MMMM, shiny!

@Tomasch air positive/negative pressure during passing thru tunnel will be alternated in a very short time. therefore, structural strength of chassis should be increased. it means the beams of this chassis become wider than others. so window goes smaller.

Like a lego 7897 train

@ikinaridango0156 Don't understand that, please explain that a bit more.

I can't wait for the whole line to get completed. I really want to ride the whole Kagoshima Route from Hakata to Chuo!
@jonaskussams
Because there are many tunnels in Japan. (The topography is different from Europe)
When a bullet train came in the tunnel, a sonic boom occurs.
Therefore, the window is small. (Like the window of the plane)
