I know im probably going to catch shit about this, but I hate the canister exhaust, to much buzz buzz. And you loss power from them, its true, I know it says that they allow for more power, but they dont say what else you have to do to get that power. You have to get a new intake & exhaust manifold, down pipe, all new pipe and a better muffler which sorry to say that isnt. But if you like that sound, more power to you man. Im not trying to be an ass, just informing.

yeah i know what it does im not retarded....i have a race car that makes over 2000 hp i think i know about how to make power...this was temporary.. i will be posting up a new vid of the car which is now turbo and has full 3in. stainless exhaust with a resonator

As for the canister muffler...Uh yea I was refering to a highly modded 2.0 or 2.4...I kinda figured that was a given. FAIL

@fourcylfury Are not the most reliable cars to mod.Hence why I do not own one anymore. Didn't want to know my tranny shop owner by first name. I now own a 03 WRX.If you knew what a car was supposed to be, you wouldn't be acting like a prick and being all over NEONS like they are better than any car on the road. A neon is an alright car. I learned my lesson owning one.Not worth the time or effort to turbo. All they do when you make power is spin, even at free way speeds Justins Neon was spinning.

@fourcylfury You do lose a bit of power from a canister, Its STRAIGHT THROUGH, thus less back pressure. Less back pressure means loss of power on a N/A car. The DOHC muffler is all you need for a SOHC or DOHC engine with out heavy modding. I'm happy for you for owner 12 neons, I'm sure one replaced the other one after an other. The DSM I bought over 2 years ago is gone, the DSM Justin owns is making over 400hp to the ground with an 18G and supporting mods. No problems so far. I agree that DSMs

@solhays85 i have owned 12 first gen neons. you shouldve turbo'd the neon, alot less weight that the eclipse and talons...i have owned all three cars...even the gsx eclipse i assume you went with....yea the awd is nice...but the car is crap...and the neon are shitty quality cars also...but fun none the less. its whatever. go ahead and stick with your piece of lead sled 420a or your crank walking 4g63. either way i dont care.

@solhays85 again like i said. you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about...you dont lose power from a canister exhaust...the stock sohc and dohc neon mufflers are pretty much the most restrictive mufflers out there...a fart can is at least a straight through design. i didnt say it made power on a dyno...it will help move air out of that head quicker yes...and i dont care about how many mods where done to your car or your buddies, let alone your piece of shit dsm.

@fourcylfury All of the mods I did,cam,LSD,intake,and EXHAUST not just a muffler,were there because we were going to turbo the car.Instead,I sold the neon and bought a DSM,a car that was already turbo'd.Saves a lot of work and time.Plus,AWD is MUCH better than 2wheel drive.Now, you can say I don't know what I am talking about,but then you would sound even more stupid.Which I would love for you to do,it does entertain to say the least.Good luck in life buddy, sounds like you may need it.

@fourcylfury Apparently you are an idiot.My post was from 3, yes 3 years ago!And I do know what I am talking about.I owned a neon for a number of years and so did my buddy Justin.Turbo'd his and just minor work to mine.The thing is,we are close friends with a guy named Tim, from Tim's hot rods in Spokane, we used his dyno alot!My car never gained a drop of power from a muffler or an cold air intake But it did from a good set of cams.Reason I did the other mods was I was going to turbo the car.
