@bassonmyolmonster It wasn't me that started calling the boats with coiled steam engines, just as the membrane type pop pop boats. After probably more than a hundred years, many accept the name "pop pop" for both types. The coiled type too has the typical intermittent propulsion. When it touches the bath sides you actually hear it.

@Mena142 only some models pop, these use coils of copper so they dont pop but same mechanism

In its more than a hundred years of existence the name pop pop has been commonly used for the coiled steam engines also, even as this type do not really pop.
