@willowstar157 I got the Winter Wolf from an in game event that happened around the Velious expansion release. I believe it might be associated with a collector's edition also (not really 100 percent sure on that though). :)

Is this game worth downloading, and is it a good WoW clone, I saw this went f2p on steam so I was thinking about downloading it

@astrophobicidal Actually this game was released before WoW was. The game has evolved a lot since then (and some of the changes were because if WoW's success) but it is it's own thing. It is a great game but it tends to be more complex than WoW is. The combat has a lot more to it and there are a TON of abilities per class (not to mention a ton of classes). With it being free to play I say give it a shot...what you got to lose ;)

Good video, but its not worth playing for free. You should update that you have to spend Station Cash to unlock 'Legendary" and "Fabled" items to be equipped, which is not free, and you have to pay to unlock character races, classes as well. Its not totally free, they make you pay to unlock features on your account. Your limited with 18 plat on your character at one time, and you cannot get Master spells. Its not worth free, just pay to play and be happy with it.

@draconolous It follows a very similar model as most other free to play games (or freemium as they are referred to a lot now). It is very common to limit classes and races to free players and lock down upper gear options also. Doesn't make the game not fun just makes endgame when paying becomes that much more appealing. I feel that if you want to play for free there is plenty to do then if you play for a long time and get to the endgame it is time to pay for the game.

The free game is playable. Easily playable.If you cant play to level 90 without legendary gear then you aint much of a player.Far too many people dissing EQ2 because they cant play. LEARN HOW!!. Beastlords are great to play. The people that moan about them are the ones that aint paying.

imo i think that the beastlord is an unfair advantage to most classes its so OP and need to be nerfed a little

@draconolous EQ2 is very worth it to play for free. I don't know what you expect, SOE to spend millions on developing a game to put it out for free? With ALL content, updates etc etc etc for free?

Come on. If you enjoy the game for free, then buying a sub will make it that much more enjoyable. Its a good game, and even tho I play rift now, to say its not worth it to play for free, well thats your opinion, and you have a right to it. but that doesnt mean that it isnt silly.

Quite enjoying the beastlord class myself, I did keep to the 1 pet while i level up, he is master atm, so just 2 more stages. At first a lot of the time i forgot to send the pet in while grouping so i made the /pet attack macro on a few spells which helped alot. Oh and the beastlord with a merc is lethal lol. Great vid :)
