The 383 Chevy stroker for my project car, the '70 Chevy El Camino known as "El Camino Verde". Built as a project for Wheels Magazine, Sweden. Here dyno'ed at www.musclecars.se just south of central Stockholm.
Features:
Eagle rotating assembly, K/B pistons, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads and cam, Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI, Comp Cams roller rockers and a few more goodies.
Result: 426 HP STD at 6100 RPM/460 lB/ft at 3400 RPM

How much more in power you made from gas to e85 gas in HP and TQ

I find the power and torque numbers very interesting. With a horsepower peak at 6100 rpm, you would think it would make more than 426 hp. But the torque curve is extremely flat, peaking at just 3400 rpm. 2700 rpm spread between peak torque and horsepower. That is just something you will not find. A 1700 rpm spread is pretty good, while 1900 is quite exceptional. Such a wide spread would make this engine feel as if it has more power than it really does.

just curious isint the carburator a little much? I am gonna build a 383 stroker as well and trying to find out what size carb I sould get. a 800 seems to be a little big to me though.

i got the same motor but with cc roller rockers and air gap intake and a 800 edelbrock,cam 234/234@50 and 480lift could my motor be making this power?
