This wasn't a SS song, it was a whermacht song that was sometimes used by the SS Panzer divisions, you deface their memory with that 14/88 comment at the end, the soldiers in the Panzer divisions such as the 116th didn't fight for the Nazi regime or Hitler, they fought for their country. I'm not putting down Neo-Nazis and neither do I support them I'm just saying that they shouldn't be remembered as Nazis, but as Soldiers, no different than that of the US, Britain or any other.

This song makes me think of singing with a Rugby team I was on. Getting a group of guys singing together reinforces brotherhood and bonding. Half of the Rugby team were in fraternities so that added something to it.
