SOME OF YOU HAVE MISSED THE FACT THAT THESE ARE ALL SKETCHES - done with limited resources and time. The materials available to me were school pencils, crayons and left-overs from class projects.
Also, they look exactly how I wanted them to look...the look has nothing to do with my skill level. I made this video to show how, over time, concepts, style and subject matter change A LOT.
The only ones I spent time on were (1:39) , (2:20) & (2:23) and that's only because they were homework for college. I do believe that those could have been better because I have no interest in taking a life art class AND, again, I couldn't afford the same supplies as everyone else.
This is only a selected few things. I can't wait to show you whatever it is I do next. I'm not even sure yet. lol.
How have you progressed as an artist?
Please leave a comment.
Some of my previous drawing style is due to the fact that I never took advanced art classes and some of it is just my preference so please don't criticize. Most of my better work that gives a better idea of my progress has been stolen, because it was better than this work, so you can't really get a full idea of what I was drawing before anyway. There's no pictures from 2007 to now since I only make household things so there's also no way to show what my drawing/painting is like now.
I really only do crafts that pertain to family needs as of late. I have learned a lot of things from making up patterns on my own or watching YouTube , threadbangers, using Etsy and reading Blogs online. I realize my textiles are not perfect since I just taught myself, so no need to tell me I need lessons! I would like only helpful tips or constructive criticism if you must.
Thank You. : )
P.S. I would like to learn how to make a keepsake portfolio case for my older work to store it under the bed, if anyone has any ideas. I am also willing to share patterns with anyone who asks.
at 1:34 is that gaga??

@beast22productions ok, in the video I put the time frame for all of my art. I drew 90% of my drawings when I was in grade school, jr. high and high school...which all took place between 1986 and 2001.
So, no, that is not a drawing of "GaGa" since her gaga persona was not known to me until 2009
