Tactics Ogre: Final Boss Shaher (Part 1 of 6)

This is the final boss of Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis.

WARNING! Spoiler!!
Here is my strategy for beating him:
First off, remember to bring LONGINCOLNIS!!!!! IF YOU DON'T THEN YOU WILL LOSE AND NOT BE ABLE TO DAMAGE SHAHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have someone distract the minions Shaher summons (Deneb) and have one or two people attacking the the boss Shaher himself. While all that is going on, heal heal heal!!! Equip shields to ppl who are vunerable to status changes, especially the healers!
Keep everyone hp above 200 to be safe because who knows what could happen, right? This could take a while depending on the level your on. My characters are lv 50.

Hmm, I defeated this boss yesterday with eight characters around level 30-31, and yours are 50.

My fight took a while, had only three survivors in the end (my main character with Longincolnis, a priest who spammed heal plus and Cybil who spammed Thunderbird on the boss).

I had the girl with energy transfer before as well, and used it on Cybil so she could use more Thunderbirds, and all four of us just stood in a big group and my priest healed the shit out of us. :-)

No, and only because I went overtime lol...

I needed to complete the game within 25 hours or less, have no more than 5 characters dead. It's been over a year since I played this game so I might be wrong.

is it important to leave your main character with the water element?

Not necessarily, but it depends on which one you want, there might be a difference between the growth of a character, but idk.

Back in the day I got to the final boss, wiped out, realized my party was too weak, and never played the game again :(. I always wished that I'd finished it. Now I'm planning tactics ogre on the psp.

@DinoRave888 Ogre tactics was older than ff Tactics, once Squaresoft and Enix mixed up together, Enix staff started to make the first FF Tactics ^^.

I just beat the game at 26 hours with my chars at level 30+. Damn boss is pretty agrevating, especially since he keeps summoning help into the stage, can hit all your party members with damaging attacks + cause random status ailments on everyone. I got the B ending.

Please note...Don't use a gameshark use only your tactical skill in defeating enemies and the final boss or make sure your level is levell 100 like I did for many times in order to reach this level...TRAINING MODE is only a best way...

I keep level 100 before fighting SHAHER so I win up once and defeating him on the ending...
