This is not a request, but one I have never sung before by one of my favourite groups of the 60/70s from Australia, The Seekers. Probably like many young men of the time I think I was in love with Judith Durham, but that was not the only reason I liked them. They had a air of fun about them that made them enjoyable to all, and their harmonies were great as was their musicianship. So I have decided to try out some of their songs myself, this being the first. It was written by Tom Springfield, himself being one of the members of The Seekers.

  • If you play Em instead of Am on "Someone" it will be proper and sound better. Good job!

  • @Leshutchens4 Thanks for the suggestion.

  • This is why the Internet is so great. That was a most excellent thing to offer the world.

  • @monkzenone Thank you Gabriel for your kind comment.

  • You perform it so quietly and calming.Just wonderful to listen to.

  • @Proculled Coming from an obvious Seekers fan, I am flattered by your kind comment. Thank you.

  • @rgriff29 Already done! :-))

  • I loved the Seekers and the New Seekers- well done. How about a version of morningtown ride?

    Cheers.

  • I remember this tune well. Thanks Tony!
