Heck, i thought it was pretty good! I'm in the process of learning this trade, and enjoy watching videos to get all the "extra" knowledge I can get. Don't let the morons get to you. They are not worth it. Stay cool.

The problem with load calcs is that they are still designing the system for one set temperature. In our area it's 95 degrees, so even "properly sized systems" are only properly sized for a relatively small percentage of the year. The best advice I can give is to go with a unit that has multi-stage heating and cooling. Expensive? Yes. But worth every penny as it will pay you back in comfort and efficiency.

I guess you could call what we do both here in the U.S. and in the poor areas of Cairo Egypt is "sustainable development education for the rest of us". If only the wealthy "early adopters" realized that for there to be a sea change we have to reach the masses, not the elite. Instead we alienate the masses by making efficient technology and techniques seem out of reach. What do you think Einstein -- and Jesus -- would do ("how 'bout'")?

This is typical of why "normal folk" are shut out by the media -- the public really wants to see "model homes" and "model people" and "name brand" objects. That's why we live loathing ourselves if we don't look like supermodels or live in mansions, or don't have the "latest" greatest technology. Unfortunately 90% of us on this planet are not so blessed. Still, we at least try to share what we are learning about how to improve our lives and environment.

I'm constantly amazed at how people like GeorgiaMGT and paysonbadboy and others can be so quick to be mean-spirited and hurtful to people they don't even know . Frank and I produced these videos with no budget using our own homes for better or worse to share what we were learning. No "NAME BRANDS" because we weren't "advertising" anything. How discouraging to get such feedback...
