@GlazeBoiX Because most student complaints about their teachers are that they go too fast. I now have software that allows me to have a "virtual" compass, so I maybe able to use that instead. As to neatness, well when you use this to build houses as I have, accuracy and neatness is important.

@HotPink2257 sandra why would u even comment on this -.-
My question is,
How is constructing a perpendicular bisector similar to constructing an angle bisector? How is it different?

@45darkrai Good observation, since a straight line is 180 degrees, if you bisect it you get two 90 degree angles, hence, a perpendicular!

Oh and another question: if you have to construct an obtuse angle bisector, would the steps be any different?

@lautnerandpatt NO, same steps.

Thanks so much! I agree math teachers DO go to fast. This really helped me but I am still a bit confused because I was trying to make a 142 degree angle but it came out 152 degrees. Any advice on what I did wrong?

@lautnerandpatt Was this a 142 degree angle with a compass and straightedge, or with a protractor?
