I grew up listening to this type of music in the 1980's when my grandpa would play his records for hours on end and i would sit with him and listen.

This is the version of this I grew up on. The memories this brings back are so warm and strong that I find it difficult to explain. My father was a train enthusiast like no other, and this always put a smile on his face. Now that he's gone, ridin' with Daddy Claxton, it puts one on my face as well.

Love this song and by Flatt and Scruggs, it's the best! Thanks for the video! My dad loved this song and sang it often. It brings back such good memories and reinforces just how good these early Country and Western singers were.

True! There were/are so many great ones! Mac Wiseman and Bobby Osborne are a couple that come to mind, along with Mr. Bill as well. But Lester was special!
