How to cover a cake with fondant

Hmm. I have a little bit more personal experience for this question, but just to make sure I did some research. Fondant will stay good, so don't worry about that. But I DO recommend putting your cake in a airtight container and then in the fridge, ESPECIALLY if it has a filling of some sort. The fondant will stiffen just a little bit, but it'll relax once you take the cake out again. Try your best to put it in an airtight container.

@videogirl578 what if you apply it to the cake and finish the cake.. does the cake need to be eaten that day or can is sit for 2 days before eating it? I would like to make the cake 2 days before the party so that I know she has a good cake. would this be ok?

I'm a begginner, but fondant hardens VERYYY quickly. You can soften it again by kneading it in your hands while adding some water, but then there are still some bits in it. What you should do is place it in a airtight ziploc. You CAN put it in the fridge but then you should take it out for a while before you use it so it can get back to room temperature.
Hope this helps :)

how odd: thats a toilet on top! Wonder what kind of party the toilet-cake is for?!?! I agree, why cover the cake on a plate like that? How fiddly, i would just put it on a board or some flat surface.
