Classic Game Room HD reviews RESIDENT EVIL 5 for Xbox 360, also for PS3 Playstation 3. One of Capcom's flagship titles shines with amazing visuals and style but moves along at a snail's pace. This time around players take up arms as Chris Redfield or Sheeva (resident hottie). Using aiming, puzzle solving and quicktime butting mashing to defeat waves of monsters, zombies and folks out for no good. This CGR review of RE5 Resident Evil 5 has gameplay from Resident Evil 5 showing Xbox 360 game play (which looks identical to PS3 gameplay) in action.

Resident Evil 5 is a good game but it doesn't give the amazing feeling that RE4 gave the first time playing. I would say RE4 is more fun than RE5 but RE5 is good in a different way. I agree that the cut-scenes are great but Sheva can be VERY stupid at some parts like in the part with the light-ray puzzle she refuses to help you even though you're dying from snake bites and there are large spiders all over your body.

Take Resident Evil 4, add sunlight and a stupid, absolutely unnecessary partner, and you get this crap. RE4 was the game the series needed. This game proves they are just falling back into the same pattern.

I find it funny that you say that Chris Redfield makes Marcus Pheonix look like Sonic the hedgehog, because it just so happens that Chris Redfields voice actor is also Sonic the Hedgehogs recent voice. Just thought you might find it interesting.

@doneystoney what Resident Evil needs to be is Resident Evil, its bad enough that RE4 took away the survival aspect and RE5 took away the horror. Turning the series into a shooter will further alienate the series roots. RE is not about being trigger happy, its about conserving supplies and being prepared for the worst. Check out REmake and Code Veronica, they where RE in its prime.
