Its Tough: A Jonas Twin Sister Story~Chapter 11

Candie's POV

When Kevin was trying to get Lexi to check her blood sugar, I crawled into my bed. I was exhausted for some reason. I tried to tell myself that it was only because Lexi was ill, but then again I wasn't feeling too great myself. I buried myself under my quilts, and I hid my face in my pillow. Soon, I had fallen asleep.

What felt like just a couple minutes later, I was being gently shaken awake.
Joe: "Candz...Candie, wake up sweetheart."
His voice rang in my ears like he was using a magaphone even though I could tell he was using his soft voice. My head was pounding with a vicous migraine.
Candie: "Joey, I don't feel good..." I mumbled, almost inaudibly.
Joe: "What's wrong babygirl?" he asked, running his fingers through my hair. He knew it calmed me down.
Candie: "My head hurts," I whined.
Joe: "Do you want me to get mom?" he asked, sitting on the edge of my bunk. I shook my head.
Candie: "Can you lay with me?" I whispered.
Joe: "Of course," he smiled, laying down next to me. I curled upi next to him and kissed his cheek.
Candie: "I love you Joe-Joe," I said.
Joe: "I love you too Candie Wandie," he stated, making me giggle.

I woke up later to Kevin's voice.
Kevin: "Candace...Joseph...you have to get up now. It's morning," he explained. Oh wow, we slept the rest of the night. I opened my eyes, but the light made me feel even more sick than I already did. I quickly squeezed my eyes shut and moaned, rolling over.
Joe: "She's not feeling well, Kev. She hada headache last night. She's probably sick like Lex," he said. I smiled to myself. Joe was always there for me.
Kevin: "Oh," he sighed. "Feel better Candz. I'll get you some aspirins."
Candie: "Thank you Kev-Kev," I whispered into my pillow.
Kevin: "You're welcome Can-Can," he said, walking away. Joe was still in the bed with me.
Joe: "Feeling better?" he asked. I shook my head and pulled the covers up and over my head. The darkness soothed my pounding head a bit but not my much. I felt Joe rubbing my back on top of my quilt.
Joe: "Just get some more sleep Candz."
Candie: "I can't. Kevy's bringing my medicine," I reminded.
Joe:"Riiiggghhhtt..." he remembered.
Candie: "Joe-Joe?" I began.
Joe: "Yeah CC?" he asked.
Candie: "I wanna see Lexi after I take my medicine. Am I allowed?" I whispered.
Joe: "Of course honey," he said right as Kevin waled to my bunk with some Aleve and water.
Kevin: "Candz, come out of the covers. You have to take the medicine," he cooed. I pulled the blankets off from over my head and sat up, making myself dizzy. Kevin slipped the pills in my mouth when I yawned, and Joe quickly passed me the water. I quickly swallowed the pills and layed back down, not feeling well at all.

Joe: "I thought you wanted to talk with Lexi..." Joe trailed, seeing me falling asleep.
Candie: "I feel too sick," I moaned, and Joe's hand went straight to my forehead to check for a temperature.
Joe: "You're warm Candz. Stay in bed. I'll go get some Motrinfor your fever," he explained. I nodded and closed my eyes, beginning to doze off. I heard Joe come back over.
Candie: "Joe-Joe, i don't want it! It's yucky!" I whined.
Joe: "I know Candie, but it'll help you feel better," he sighed, pouring the liquid into my mouth. I managed to swallow it, making a disgusted face.
Candie: "ewwww!" I whined.
Joe: "I know Candz. I know..." he said, rubbing my back.
Candie: "Stay with me?" I begged.
Joe: "I don't wanna get sick also Candie..." Joe's voice trailed, and I looked at him with my puppy dog eyes. "Fine..." he gave in almost immediantly, laying next to me. I lay my head on his chest and began to doze off.

Just as I was falling asleep, I was woken by Lexi crying. She must have felt really sick, because a wave of nausea swept over me. Before I knew it, Joe was dashing me to the bathroom because I was about to throw up. Lexi was already in there gagging and spitting up into the toilet. Lexi and I ended up throwing up together, Joe making sure we were okay. I hate being sick, but at least I had my twin to go through it with me.

Are Candie and Lexi alright?
Will anyone else on the bus get sick?
